Handyman's Ajax Chat MOD...

here's a complete install for Handyman's Ajax Chat with instructions to install it on phpBB 3.1.2 to have the same exact chat installed on this board.

yes, this is a MOD and not an EXT so you have to go against the idea of phpBB 3.1.X's extension system and do the file edits

i think i see what you are wanting now. all you would have to do is leave out the edit to the template/index_body.html file and it will work for just a simple chat page as well as it's own popup window

I wanted to have old chat design (ex: http://a.fsdn.com/con/app/proj/ajax-cha ... 156299.jpg ) for my site... i tired to install this Blueimp's AJAX Chat but is not compatible for phpbb 3.1.1.. Any idea why?

this is completely different than what you are talking about. you are wanting Blueimp's Ajax Chat. this is Handyman's Ajax Chat

Hello,
First. A very big thanks for Handyman, this chat is that what i need.

I have a simply question. I like to include this chat in the overall footer, so that my users can see und use the chat from every page. I have testet it, but when i use the

in the overall footer, i will become a wrong display.
Display the chat on a external page is not a problem ( and no, i mean not the popup)

what can i do.
And sorry, but my english is not the best, please ignored mistakes

if you are using phpBB 3.0.x you will have to make the edits that were made to the index.php on every page you want to display chat... example would be viewforum.php and viewtopic.php

btw. nice to have where also, that the new message are displayed under the older message.

this topic is for the phpBB 3.0.x modification and not my chat extension

but, this is not possible the way the extension is currently coded as it is injecting itself into the index only
